Happy New Year!

We begin 2016 with an emphasis on worship. I hope many of you will join with Stefanie and me to bring in the new year with an emphasis on prayer and fasting. We are encouraging as many as possible to do the Daniel Fast,January 3 thru 23. The sanctuary stage is lined with prayer requests calledAgree 23 cards. Please consider spending special time in prayer in the sanctuary at some point during the next 21 days, looking at these cards, believing God for miracles.

You will find helpful links below as you plan for your season of fasting and prayer. I encourage everyone to do something different from your routine these next 21 days. Perhaps adjust your intake of food, Internet, television, or social media. Give up something in order to go after God with all your heart. For sure, attend church for worship. We each have have different situations. There are seasons to life. Find the rhythm God has called you to as we AGREE together towards January TWENTY-THREE.

FORWARD FOCUS

Begins this Sunday, January 3, at 10:00 a.m.

The teaching series, FORWARD FOCUS, will help us establish good footing as we move toward do-able goals in 2016. Our church mission statement, Find Purpose in Christ and SHARE, is driven by core values of authenticity, originality, relationship, usefulness, integrity, generosity and commitment. These mission statement items help towards the fulfillment of our vision, which may be surmised by the five purposes of the church of Jesus Christ: worship, serve, grow, connect and go. In each of the five Sundays of January we will zero in with laser focus upon the five purposes of the church. Share an invitation with your friends to join you in worship in the morning. Start the new year off the right way, worshiping in God's house.

There are many sites available online which you can find with a simple Google search. What is most important is that we each seek after the Lord with all our hearts. Let the Lord lead you in what way you should be involved.
